These are good sales for the ps3 but it total i'd say all console (Wii,360 and ps3) sales are quite pathetic. All are down on last year, except the 360 whose sales are only considered good at the moment because this is Japan, the place where the xbox doesn't sell.
The UK is turning into a bigger market than Japan - the wii is usually 50-60K a week instead of Japans 25K, with the 360 around 15-20K, not 7K and the ps3 usually 15K, not the <10K we are used to seeing in Japan.

in THIS financial report (in other words, the report for Konami games that they are still selling) they have shipped in total 4.33 million. This iincludes MGS4, a psp metal gear game and I think a ps2 game aswell. This report has got nothing to do with MGS2,3 or 93.

as every single financial report is. Konami makes money off selling to retailers. How the hell do you expect Konami to know exactly how many copies are being sold at every store round the world. Its weird that sony's most high profile casual game will be mainly bought by the hardcore. I think the ps3 needs to get the casual onboard cos its certainly no ps2.

If you actually look at the numbers closely from the companies you will realise that the 360 was only at 5.5 million sold when the ps3 was released not 10. Due to the ps3's poor start the 360 tehn increased the lead to about 8 million before the ps3 got into gear around christmas 07 and started to outsell the 360. It has outsold the 360 all year until the last month getting the gap down to where it started 5.5 million.

Sony are still losing money on the ps3 so im willing to bet that microsoft are doing just as well financially (at least) than sony. Alcohol and nightclubs -- 18! Fake id's are everywhere here aswell- I got mine at 16 so thats when the purchase of alcohol started for me haha! Theres a huge problem with knives of guns aswell -- 30 teenagers have been shot dead in London this year in targeted gangland attacks and other major cities such as manchester are not muc better either. and it WILL outsell the ps3 in Europe this christmas (especaially helped by the UK). Both have great games coming out to counteract each other.
However if you think the 360 will continue to outsell the ps3 in Europe when the ps3 gets a pricecut you are sadly mistaken. Price is the main think holding the ps3 back. However the ps3 will be nowhere near as successful as the ps2 (neither will the 360) and really they are fighting an expensive bloody war to be best loser behind the w...
